I would love to have my Device and >such done. Who does this work please? Check with Mistress Olga - Stephanie Howe - of Ash & Griffin Pottery. She does some lovely work and I believe is willing to do custom items. Not bad prices, either. Christianna The cooks might want to look at this site. The stuff looks good from here. Many of those forms look very close to what ours would have. Let me know what you think. http://www.juliasmith.com/historicpottery/index.html Gayle Erwin Date: Sun, 13 Feb 2005 18:25:11 -0800 (PST) From: Huette von Ahrens Subject: Re: [Sca-cooks] Reproduction pottery To: Cooks within the SCA , "SCAFoodandFeasts at yahoogroups.com" --- Johnna Holloway wrote: > Those seeking quality reproduction pottery might be > interested in knowing that John Hudson now has a website. > http://www.hudsonclaypotter.com/index.php > > He is the author of the essay on "Reproduction pottery > for use in historical Cooking" that appeared in Feeding a > City: York. So does my apprentice, THL Artemesia di Serena. Here is her website: http://www.rakurakutei.com/ for those in Lochac, here is the website of Master Alex the Potter: http://merchants-medieval.com/FlamingGargoyle/index.html Both are currently in Caid, but will be leaving soon for Estrella War on Tuesday. I can't find a website for him, but Master Hroar Stormgengr of StarHammer Arts Magickal from MidRealm does great reproduction pottery also. My apprentice, THL Artemesia di Serena, makes aquamaniles in the shape of cats. You can contact her here: mneumark at hotmail.com or check her website: http://www.rakurakutei.com/ She lives in Caid. Her primary Laurel is Master Hroar Stormgangr. He also makes aquamaniles. However, he is having another hip surgery soon and I doubt that he will be taking commissions for a while. However, just in case he has some in stock, contact him here: hroarstorm at verizon.net He lives in the MidRealm. Not only does she have pipkins but also little skillets, pots and other goodies for cooking in. I'm not sure of her prices but I did get a card and promised her I'd post the info on the list. She's more than willing to work with customers on what they would like. Firehorse Studio Ciara Darrig mka Kerry Kennedy claygirlk at yahoo.com Gunthar Edited by Mark S. Harris merch-pottery-msg 4
