Greetings:

Contact the Grimms Tent folks at:

150 Smith Ave.

Sharon, PA  16146

(412) 346(8)-4952 --the type on the phone number is really small - you

might want to pay the $.50 to call information and check.....

To rent a 12 x 12 for a week is $145.09.  This is from a price list dated

as good through Jan 1994-----so check.

If you are renting a Grimms, be sure your Land Agent for the Land

Lottery knows, as it will affect their status in some way.

Call:

Grimms, Inc

150 Smith Avenue

Sharon, PA  16146

1-800-552-5457

Tell them your calling for a tent for Coopers Lake in August.  (Most of

them know it's called Pennsic War, but just in case you get someone new at

the job.)  They'll ask you for a 1/3 deposit with the remainder due at the

end of July.

FYI on some sizes and prices (all prices include the 6% sales tax):

9' x 9'      $137.22

12' x 12'   $152.35

16' x 16'   $211.58

These are the prices given to me in February.  Give them a call, they are

very helpful!

Try A Gather in Time.  They do great tents.  My tent is very peiod

looking and withstood the Monsoon of Pennsic 25 with little water getting

inside.  I wouldn't think Bryanna would mind me posting this for her.

And since she rents tents, I'm sure she has used ones.

Check with Medieval Miscellanea. They rent pavilions. (Only other source

for Pennsic IIRC.

I don't assume Pennsic has 'crash space', so how is this handled

for overseas visitors? Are there 'hotel' tents? Do you stay with allied

households?

While you can get a Grimm's rental tent to camp in, they are sold as

"shade, not shelter" and you never know what the condition of one will be

when you get there.  I have known many folks that had to go get a blue tarp

to put up inside their tent to keep wind and water out. You can probably

find someone that is willing to share tent space or bring a small tent for

you, especially if they get you to pre-register your space within their land

allotment.

I just thought I would let people know I did in fact find one. In

Slippery Rock there is a place called Miller's Crossing. They make beds

and other furniture as well as sell Panther pavilions and you can also

rent one for this year!
