Greetings M'lord.

North of the 49th, Canadian Tire offers for a reasonably low price, A

Hockey armour stand. It holds all the hockey equivalents: Helm, gauntlets,

all the way down to greaves... and might do for your armour.

South of th 49th... I'd try sport mart or wall mart.

Get yourself  manniquen from a department store.  It's already the right

shape and comes in sevral sizes. Paint him blue and tell everyone that

he's had too much to drink.  Paint him in marble tones and claim that he's

captured classical art war booty. Stand him up at the edge of the

firelight and say he's a hired guard. Be creative, almost anything will

fly with a good story.

There is a back issue of T.I. which has plans for an armor stand.

I had sketched a copy by hand, and posted a scanned version of this

on the old armor archive. It might still be out there.
