I use Schultz Moistur Plus, which is available at Walmart and Home Depot in the garden department. I've never used it for gardening, but it makes nice neck-coolers. -- Lady Brighid ni Chiarain Barony of Settmour Swamp, East Kingdom Date: Thu, 9 Jun 2005 12:41:03 -0700 (PDT) From: Samrah Subject: Re: [Sca-cooks] Kitchen Madness: ants: mint water OT To: Cooks within the SCA 'Lainie wrote: >>> Interestingly enough, I use Dr Bronner's Liquid Castile Soap- either peppermint or eucalyptus- for bathing in camp, for similar reasons. It smells good, cleans my body adequately, and helps repel bugs. If you have any qualms about chemical repellents, especially on kids, Bronner's is a nice alternative. Besides, on a hot day, some cool water and peppermint is downright decadent! 'Lainie <<< I often bring a bit of fresh mint in the ice-chest. Then put out a goodly sized bowl of water and put the mint in it. The heat of the day makes for really pleasant mint water to splash with. Helps alleviate heat problems...
