POLSKA BRON by TJERY WERNER

It is the best book I've read on the history of crossbows,long,
recurve and compound (composite) bows.

More pictures and schematics than I,ve ever seen in a single book

It also covers Eurasian and Asian stuff

Unfortunately in Polish but worth translating or just looking at the
schematics ESPECIALLY crossbows and compound (composite) "turkish" bows
( they are really Assyrian 5th cent. BC or older)
